Welcome to APC Summer Camp

A Day at APC Camp

July 6 – July 30

4 weeks

  • What we are doing to keep everyone safe

Our main priority is to keep everyone safe throughout summer camp this year.

We will keep everyone 6 feet apart during all activities.

Everyone will be required to wear masks on AT ALL TIMES.

Alcohol based hand sanitizers will be placed all throughout the church.

Children will be asked to sanitize their hands after each activity.

For Big Camp, each class will have only 5 children with one teacher and possibly one TA. (Not all classes will have a TA.)

For Big camp, there will be NO FOOD when children are at church. They will bring their own water bottles.

We will fumigate each room with Hypochlorous Acid and Sodium Hydroxide mixture, which has bleach-strength but is a non-toxic cleaning agent, EPA registered disinfectant that kills 99.9% of germs, including Staph, MRSA, Norovirus, Influenza A, Salmonella and Listeria. It’s on the EPA’s List N, the disinfectants approved for use against Covid-19.

We will also clean the church every night as we have always done in previous years.

After camp starts, we will have a COVID hotline for anyone with symptoms to report as soon as he/she becomes aware of his/her condition. We will follow NYS & CDC guidelines with contact tracing and quarantine procedures.

  • Praise & Worship

Getting to know the LOVING GOD who loves us unconditionally gives everyone freedom, confidence, joy, peace & Love.

When we know who we are, “Children of God”, we will stand strong and confident.

When we find out what God did to save us from our sins, we will be humbled.

When we find out how we receive God’s grace, we receive the Good News with open hands and humble hearts.

During the time of praise & worship, pastors will speak to the children about God and we will respond to God with exciting and fun praises.

Children will learn worship songs and dances every day.

  • Academics

Students will meet their teachers on zoom where they learn curriculum for the upcoming school year. Academics include studies in reading, vocabulary, and math.

In order to reduce the number of students present in church, we will carry out this part at home via zoom. It will be easily accessible through the link next to each teachers’ names in “Meet the Crew” tab.

The curriculum is also available online through the link.

  • Sharing & Prayer

Few times a week, each class will have Sharing & Prayer time where they share prayer requests and have discussions that apply to the camp’s theme.

  • Activities

We planned for physical activities while they are at church. Each activities will be carried out 6 feet apart from one another. In order to eliminate contacts, we will have individual sports such as basketball dribbling, volleyball tossing, jeji kicking activity (hand/foot/eye coordinating game), etc.

  • Waterplay

We will have waterplay to cool off the children during the hot summer days.

Again, children will be kept 6 feet apart to keep them safe.

We will ask on the days of the waterplay, children to be dressed in swimsuit and bring a towel.
